What is Halo?
The Halo laser by Sciton® is the first ever hybrid fractional laser to address a variety of skin concerns. As the first hybrid fractional laser, it delivers both non-ablative and ablative wavelengths simultaneously. This means that it offers to the effectiveness of ablative laser treatments, with the short downtime of non-ablative laser treatments. The Halo in the Louisville and Lexington area can help to improve the appearance of skin tone, texture, fine lines and wrinkles, as well as reduce pore size.
How are Halo Treatments Done?
About an hour before your treatment session, a topical anesthetic will be applied to the skin to ensure comfort during the procedure. The Halo hand piece will be used to gently heat the skin while cooling technology will ensure that treatment is comfortable. Treatments commonly last about 45 minutes to complete. Following the procedure, a cold air fan and water mist will help to cool down the treatment area before patients can resume their daily activities.
Following the procedure, patients will experience a warm sensation in the treatment areas for up to 30 minutes. Halo treatments require little to no downtime, allowing patients to resume their daily activities immediately. After 24 hours, the skin will begin to peel, but makeup can be applied. Overall, initial results will become apparent after two and five days, though your skin will continue to improve with time, revealing smoother, younger-looking skin. Results will last for years to come, but the skin should be protected at all times to maintain results.
